Why your horoscope feels generic

A sun-sign horoscope splits everyone alive into twelve buckets. The Pisces column you read this morning was written for roughly 650 million people, everyone born while the Sun crossed the same thirty degree stretch of its yearly path. Of course it feels generic. It has to fit a twelfth of the planet.

Your actual birth chart is nothing like that. It is the exact sky at your first breath. The Moon changes sign every two and a half days. Your rising sign changes every two hours. Two people born on the same day in the same city, an hour apart, can have noticeably different charts.

What personalized means when it’s real

When a reading starts from your real chart, “Saturn is doing something this month” turns into “Saturn is pressing on your Sun, exactly on the 14th of March, from the part of your chart that rules work”. One of those you can act on. The other is weather for a continent you might not even live on.

That is the whole idea here. I work out the actual sky first, real degrees and real dates, and only then do I start writing. The sky is exact. Your reading should be too.
